Conceptualised and headed by former hoteliers, South African Murray Aitken and Singapore Permanent Resident Adrian Wong, Corduroy Lifestyle Holdings (Asia) Pte Ltd is a hospitality management company which services include asset management, concept designing and consultancy to the hotel, restaurant, entertainment, and leisure industries. The company currently owns and manages the operations of two outlets in Singapore. corduroy&finch, a European-style deli, café and lounge in Bukit Timah that serves modern European cuisine with deli counter for takeaways and a retail corner selling a selection of crockery, gourmet produce and tableware, and Corduroy Café, a traditional European-style bakery and milkbar at VivoCity, serving freshly baked pastry & bakery items and milk products such as chocolates, coffee, milk shakes, smoothies and milk infusions. The company is also seeing the opening of 3 more outlets in Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur by the end of this year. Plans of expanding into Bangkok and Hong Kong are in the talks as well. The consulting arm of the company, under the brand “Corduroy 101” is a rapidly growing division with large projects in the region currently under construction for organizations such as Hyatt International and other independent clients. Talks are also in the final stages for Corduroy Lifestyle Holdings to manage the exclusive French brand of Fauchon out of Paris, with the first outlet under the design microsope already for Jakarta, Indonesia. The outlet will open in the exclusive and leading fashion and entertainment mall, Plaza Indonesia in Jakarta.
